DWR has developed a monitoring and tracking information system within the Statewide Planning Area to support implementation of the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan and continued DFM Operations. The overall purpose of the system is to document status and trends of facilities in the State Plan of Flood Control, and of natural resources within the flood system. This enables reporting relative to the Flood System Status Report and the CVFPP Conservation Strategy's measurable objectives.

Flood System Status Report

The tracking system will monitor the condition of the Central Valley's flood system over time. This includes changes in State Plan of Flood Control facilities, including levees, channels, and flood control structures. Click here to learn more about how the FSSR will be tracked using this tool. Information in this tracking system can be used to support future updates of the Flood System Status Report.

Conservation Strategy

The tracking system will monitor progress toward the goals and measurable objectives identified in the Conservation Strategy. This includes monitoring whether projects are helping improve ecosystem functions, and improving habitat to support recovery of targeted species.
